The American Heart Association’s Basic Life Support (BLS) for HEALTHCARE PROVIDER certification class reinforces healthcare professionals’ understanding of the importance of early CPR and defibrillation, performing basic steps CPR, relieving choking, using an AED, and the role of each link in the Chain of Survival.

The AHA’s Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification class has been updated to reflect new science in the 2010 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care . This classroom, video-based, Instructor-led course builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS for Healthcare Providers skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. This advanced course highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac arrest care. ACLS also covers airway management and related pharmacology.

The AHA’s PALS Course is a classroom, video-based, Instructor-led course that uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics. The goal of the Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.
